Sullivan Lake XVII - September 17 - 19

The RSO needs the help of several volunteers to make the launch a success. He needs Rocket Inspectors, Pad Managers, and Launch Control Officers on duty at all times during a launch to make for a smooth event. Please review the various roles that need to be filled, and if you can fill a slot, please send email to with your preference. Best to pick something ahead of time. The onsite selection process can be ruthless.

Please be aware the "Certified Rocket Inspector Program" has been recently been introduced to identify that the RSO functions have two distinct roles. The first is to inspect each and every rocket prior to flight (the RI's role), the second is to supervise the active range (the RSO's role). Rather than regurgitate it here, please review the rocket inspector program to gain an understanding of the RI certification process, and the roles of the Rocket Inspector (RI) and the Apprentice Rocket Inspector (App RI), in anticipation of volunteering (or ruthlessly selected).

The duties of the Launch Control Officer and the Pad Manager are documented on CARweb at Range Offical Job Descriptions.
